Chancellor Luis Ernesto Derbez was the Keynote Speaker and Honored Guest for a special breakfast meeting at the Grand Hotel in Tijuana hosted today by the National Chamber of Industry (CANACINTRA).
Senor Derbez served as the Economics Minister and also as Foreign Secretary in the administration of President Vicente Fox, Mexico City.

The University of the Americas, also known as Universidad de las Américas Puebla, UDLAP, is located in San Andrés Cholula, near Puebla. The university is well known for its programs in the Arts and Humanities, Social sciences, Science and Engineering, and Business and Economics.
UDLAP is considered to be one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America, and is one of the only seven universities in Latin America accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. UDLAP has also been very successful in Mexican sports – the Aztecas.
