Anodizing process for the development of your product
Our anodizing process is a surface treatment for aluminum, that consists of creating an oxide layer in a balanced pattern through an electrolytic process that forms a continuous current through the surface to be treated, being an anode in an acidic medium.
Precision in every aluminum profile
We carry out a coating by immersing the profiles in a sulfuric acid solution of 180 to 200 grams per liter, with a temperature between 19 and 21 ° C. It generates an oxide layer, functioning as a barrier against damage to the profile.

The thickness of layers applied to the product will depend on internal and external factors that participate in this process, which at the same time we control according to the requirements agreed between the client and ABC Aluminum, such as:

Anodizing pre-treatment
To prepare the aluminum profile and avoid any errors or damage, we activate the surface chemically, with an optimal process for each part of the profile
- Degreasing, eliminating all types of oil, mineral or vegetable that exist in the profile
- Rinse, removing residues from the previous procedure
- Shading, making a covering with sodium hydroxide, eliminating all types of rust
- Neutralization, we exclude any waste and stop the attack of sodium hydroxide, chemically activating the profile for optimal anodizing
Anodizing
At this point, we apply a treatment to provide durability to the aluminum profile that requires it. We cover it with different layers of microns and generate a color from clear to light bronze to black
- We apply an electrolyte bath with a current density of 150 amps per square meter
- We use this bath in a sulfuric acid solution between 180 and 200 grams per liter
- We carry out this process at a temperature between 19 and 21°C, generating an oxide layer
- At the time of electro coloring, we place tin to obtain colors such as black, bronze or natural
Sealed
This process is vital, verifying the quality at each point of the aluminum profile and taking it to the next service.
- We sealed the pore where the electro color was applied
- We transfer it to the packaging corresponding to the aluminum profile
- We carry out the tests based on our QUALANOD certification
- The thickness is measured
- We carry out the sealing tests and verification of color layers
- We do the extrusion test, eliminating situations in the installation or use of the product
Color

We can characterize paint as a ground plastic composed of color pigments, additives, resin and flow agents for optimal adherence to the profile.
Types of paint
- Durable paints AMMA 2603 O Qualicoat class 1, guaranteed one year
- Ultra Durable AMMA 2604 or Qualicoat class 2, guaranteed five years
- Durable AMMA 2605 or Qualicoat class 3, which guarantees 15 years with minimum loss of gloss under standard conditions
Recycling
We have a paint application and recovery system that works like a vacuum cleaner, which returns to the paint powder feeding system, avoiding losses and efficient use of resources.

- Vertical, the aluminum profile enters vertically, giving flexibility to products of greater lengths
- Horizontal, painting the extrusion horizontally, this is the most versatile line for our clients
- Carrousel, mainly used for small parts or accessories, high versatility with fast color change in a reduced footprint
- Carrousel's second paint line with an estimated start-up in early 2021
