ABC Aluminum Solutions named as a Finalist in ‘Mill of the Year’ and ‘Industry Rising Star’ in Metal Bulletin’s 2013 Global Excellence Awards.

ABC Aluminum Solutions has this week been selected from over fifty aluminum extruders and finishers from around the world as a Finalist  by Metal Bulletin’s Adjudication Panel in London for both categories ‘Mill of the Year’, and ‘Industry Rising Star’, 2013.

Metal Bulletin has been for over 100 years the primary news publication for a number of the key metals including steel and aluminum. Metal Bulletin and their sister publication American Metal Market are part of Euromoney Institutional Investor plc, a FTSE 250 company, which is auditing the panel’s selection process for integrity and objectivity.

The Adjudication Panel is comprised of highly experienced industry experts with responsibility for selecting the winner in each category from the shortlist of finalists.

“The Awards for Global Aluminum Excellence recognize excellent upstream and downstream companies, and their innovation and performance in the aluminum industry. The judges will evaluate the finalists using a point-based qualitative approach to determine the overall winners.” said Raju Daswani, Metal Bulletin’s Managing Director.

The winners will be announced on September 18th at a Gala Dinner at the Hotel Intercontinental in Geneva, Switzerland. In addition, the finalists including ABC will be featured in the upcoming September issue of Metal Bulletin. The Dinner and Awards are part of Metal Bulletin’s 28th International Aluminum Conference taking place between September 17th and 19th.

Wadih Kuri, President and CEO of ABC Aluminum Solutions, adding to his comments when ABC was first nominated, said “with all the efforts we have been making throughout ABC, it is really pleasing that such a highly respected organization should have taken the time to research and evaluate manufacturers in the aluminum industry globally including North America, and we are honored to have been shortlisted as Finalists”.
