Further to our July Release, photographs here show further progress with construction – the many tanks are lined and are being filled, and final installation and connection of the rectifiers and fully computerized control room is advancing daily. Remarkably, the entire plant can be operated from the Command-Control Room by just two highly skilled chemical engineers.

Test-running of this state-of-the-art plant is scheduled for mid-October; it will revolutionize ABC’s anodizing capacity, and the speed with which extrusions are finished – benefiting existing customers and opening the way forward to offer anodizing and finishing to a broader U.S. and Canadian West Coast Market, and beyond, where currently there is a major capacity shortage.

Wadih Kuri, President and CEO, said today “I know and appreciate how hard everyone involved with this important project has been working. With a plant of this complexity, inevitably some stages of the installation have experienced delays, but I am pleased to say that we are now close to the ‘finishing line’ and the commitment shown by you all has enabled us claw back much of the planned schedule. There are many levels of safety involved, from high voltage delivery to the handling of chemicals; it has been everyone’s highest priority to ensure that there are no shortcuts, and that once fully operational, the plant’s structural and manufacturing integrity is assured.” Thank you all.”
