This has been years in the making and at last, ABC has natural gas piped directly into the plant.
It is estimated that natural gas contributes a 440 percent reduction in greenhouse emissions over other primary sources of energy. It is also the most cost-effective fuel available, and is currently cheaper in Mexico, the U.S. and Canada compared with the rest of the world.
Wadih Kuri, President and CEO, speaking about this advance said “We at ABC are all very delighted that we can now power the plant using natural gas via a direct supply. Many were involved in order to engineer and steer this to a successful completion.
