CANACINTRA is short for National Chamber for the Advancement and Growth – literal translation is Transformation – of Industry. Wadih Kuri, ABC’s owner, President and CEO, was elected Vice President by the chamber’s members two years ago.

As one of the area’s largest and most dynamic employers, ABC and Wadih Kuri have an influential role in assisting leading the Chamber towards the development of new and expanded business opportunities, both within the city and northern Baja region, extending to building relationships and connections within greater Mexico, and across the border with San Diego and beyond.

Fortunately, weather is never a real concern in Tijuana and it was another perfect day on Friday, August 31st, for a round of golf and other activities at the city’s principal course, Club Campestre de Tijuana. Beginning with an early welcome and thanks given by the chamber’s president along with presentations to key organizers including Wadih Kuri, a light breakfast was served. Some twenty teams of clients invited by chamber members then took to carts for their round of 18 holes.

Along the way, various promotional watering stops offered welcome refreshments. ABC was represented at the second hole, and served beverages including very fine tequila for winners of a spin-the-wheel challenge; actually…one way or another, everyone taking part was a winner!

Following a secondary play-off event involving some 20 of those whose first swing had resulted in their ball landing closest to the flag, there was a catered dinner of sushi followed by traditional Mexican dishes, cabaret, music and a host of awards and raffled prizes.

Wadih Kuri along with Snr. Marcello Hinojosa, Canacintra’s President, took the microphone to thank everyone for attending and making the day so enjoyable and successful. Wadih commented afterwards “this is an occasion in the calendar where those who volunteer time and funds to the chamber can relax and enjoy a day together, and invite interested clients as well.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
