ABC has expanded its fleet of trucks by taking delivery of the following:
Six Trucks; Type: M2 35K FREIGHTLINER 2023, load capacity 10 tons.
Five Tractor-Trailers; Type: Day Cab LT International 2023, load capacity 30 tons
These very significantly add to ABC’s logistics capabilities, by bringing the total fleet to nine trucks and seven tractor-trailers. In addition, 22 drivers have been hired, bringing the total employed to 32.
With ABC continuing its growth trajectory, the economies of scale are such that it makes absolute sense to bring delivery control in-house. This step will increase delivery reliability, not just of raw materials and semi-finished parts between the ABC Plant and ABC North, but also for customers in our region. Long distance deliveries will continue to be outsourced for the time being.
The units were strategically chosen through careful analysis of shipment frequency and load size and weight, in order to maximize efficiency and cost savings.
Always with an eye to the environment, these 2023 models come with upgraded and improved diesel exhaust fluid (DEF, also known as AUS32) cleaning systems, keeping pollution and particle escape to the minimum.
