Held at the J.W. Marriott in Palm Desert, this four day event brought together the senior executives from all the major firms in the aluminum industry. All the various committee members were present and the first two days were dedicated to official committee business and the AEC’s annual Board Meeting.
The final two days consisted of a full program with several knowledgeable speakers addressing various topics in detail from the outlook and trends for the coming twelve months to a very interesting and comprehensive summary of current status from Robert DeFrancesco who heads AEC’s legal team.
Herm Edwards was the Keynote Speaker:
Former NFL head coach and player Herm Edwards joined ESPN in March 2009 as an NFL studio analyst. He appears primarily on NFL Live, SportsCenter, Audibles, and ESPN Radio, while also contributing to ESPN’s annual NFL Draft coverage.
Herm Edwards co-authored the book You Play to Win the Game – Leadership Lessons for Success On and Off the Field with ESPN’s Shelley Smith, and he was involved in longtime NFL referee Jim Tunney’s book, It’s the Will, Not the Skill – Principles and Philosophies of Success as Seen Through the Eyes, Mind and Heart of Herm Edwards. He also worked local broadcasts of Eagles preseason games in 2009.
Tim Evans, ABC’s Marketing Director, was present, and on behalf of everyone at ABC congratulated the organizers for arranging such a successful and well attended event.
The 2016 Conference will be in San Antonio, Texas; ABC will be there, and will be a firm supporter of all the AEC’s Committee, Workshop and Webinar activities during the year.
