ABC attends AEC’s Annual Educational and Expo Event ET’12: May 15-18

ET ’12, the Tenth International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar and Exposition (ET), is the world’s longest-running educational event devoted to all facets of the aluminum extrusion industry, including aluminum profile production, die design and technology, metallurgy, equipment, and product applications.

ET attracts industry professionals from around the world, including more than 50 countries.  ET ’12 was organized by the Extrusion Technology for Aluminum Profiles Foundation (ET Foundation) in conjunction with the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC).

Held in Miami Beach, Florida, the event this year had the themes “Success by Design”, and “sustainability” , and brought together more than 1130 aluminum extrusion professionals who came to learn of the latest technological advancements and connect with fellow industry peers over four days.

ET ’12 featured more than 110 technical presentations, hosted nearly 100 extrusion industry suppliers at the ET Expo, and highlighted numerous semi-fabricated and finished products using extruded aluminum components at the Extrusion Showcase.

Awards were presented to winners for outstanding technical solutions as well as for ground-breaking applications, one of which was for a Mercedes Benz SL floor.

“The entire program was interesting, educational and extremely productive” said Wadih Kuri, ABC’s President and CEO. “This was our second year in attendance and once again, the quality and relevance of the content over the entire four days was excellent. And it was great to meet up with industry colleagues and make new friends. We will look forward to supporting and participating at ET’13”.
